It is a settlement that has a long occupational sequence since the Preclassic, for this reason it became one of the largest and oldest on the northern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. It houses one of the most emblematic buildings "The House of the 7 Dolls" site where one of the impressive events is performed the equinox of spring and autumn.
It has a 16th century Franciscan chapel in the middle of the area. The Mayan Village Museum houses several Mayan and European artifacts, from clay objects to paintings, Spanish armor and weapons, several Mayan stelae, stones and lintels. After touring the Mayan foundations, visitors can cool off in the Xlacah cenote, which just by looking at it, you will be amazed, because the lilies that are inside give it a spectacular panorama.
